A Gift of Sanctuary is more than a dinner. It’s a night to gather passionate individuals, corporate partners, and community changemakers to raise $400,000 in support of our mission to end animal cruelty and speak up for animals.

Why This Gala Matters
The ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre was built with public donations and marked a key step in our fight to protect animals. While we were initially given two hectares of land, most of it was contaminated, leaving only 0.5 hectares usable. We made the most of the space, building our office, education centre, animal quarantine area, volunteer lounge, and staff quarters.
Today, the centre cares for 129 animals, including tortoises, snakes, iguanas, turtles, birds, and mammals, each with a story that shows why wildlife protection matters.
After 16 years, we’ve finally received approval to expand and bring our original 2-hectare vision to life. This means more rescues, better care, and a greater chance for native animals to return to the wild, including more turtles and tortoises being repatriated to their natural homes.

We invite you to stand with us. If you or your organisation would like to contribute further, please download our Gala Deck or email us for more information. All seat and table purchases are eligible for 250% tax deduction and will be matched one-to-one by the Tote Board.
