Empowering Change Through Education

Every act of compassion starts with understanding. Through our talks, tours, and outreach, we bring people face-to-face with the wonder of Singapore’s wildlife — and the urgent need to protect it. Whether it’s a classroom of curious children or a room full of corporate teams, our goal is the same: to spark the kind of respect for animals that lasts a lifetime.

Our educational outreach is further supported by online resources, leaflets, roadshows, and guided tours at our Education Centre and outdoor sanctuary. School and Corporate Talks are held by our Education Team in-person or at ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre. Awareness about pressing animal protection issues, compassion and respect for all animals are conveyed during our talks.

Talks Available:

Coexisting with Wildlife

As Singapore’s urban landscape continues to grow alongside nature, encounters with wildlife have become increasingly common. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately when they encounter native wildlife, promoting safe and responsible coexistence.

Through engaging presentations and real-life rescue case studies, participants learn about Singapore’s wildlife, common rescue situations, and the simple steps they can take to help wildlife while ensuring the best possible outcomes for both people and animals.

These talks inspire greater appreciation for Singapore’s biodiversity and empower individuals to become responsible stewards of our shared environment.

Cruelty-Free Living

Everyday choices have the power to create a kinder world for animals. ACRES’ Cruelty-Free Living Talks introduce participants to practical ways of adopting a more compassionate lifestyle by making informed choices about the products they buy, the food they eat and the impact of their daily habits on animals and the environment.

Through interactive activities, engaging discussions and hands-on learning, participants discover what it means to live cruelty-free, explore ethical alternatives, and understand how small changes can make a meaningful difference for wildlife, farmed animals and the planet.

Suitable for schools, organisations and community groups, these talks encourage participants to become conscious consumers and compassionate advocates for a more sustainable and animal-friendly future.

Community Outreach

Building a compassionate society begins with meaningful conversations and shared experiences. Through our Community Outreach programmes, we engage people of all ages at public events, exhibitions, roadshows and community festivals to raise awareness of wildlife conservation, responsible coexistence and animal welfare.

Our interactive booths feature educational displays, hands-on activities, games and conversations with our dedicated staff and volunteers, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn more about Singapore’s wildlife, ACRES’ rescue and rehabilitation work, and how they can make a positive impact in their everyday lives.

By bringing conservation directly into the community, we hope to inspire greater appreciation for wildlife, encourage responsible actions, and empower individuals to become advocates for a kinder and more sustainable future.

School Outreach

Inspiring the next generation is at the heart of ACRES’ education efforts. Through our School Outreach programmes, we bring wildlife conservation and animal welfare directly into classrooms and school communities, encouraging students to develop compassion, curiosity and respect for all living beings.

Our interactive sessions combine engaging presentations, hands-on activities, games and real-life rescue stories to introduce students to Singapore’s native wildlife, responsible coexistence and the importance of protecting biodiversity. Students are also empowered with practical knowledge on what to do when they encounter wildlife and how their everyday choices can contribute to a more compassionate world.

Suitable for preschools, primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions, our programmes are tailored to different age groups, fostering environmental stewardship and inspiring young people to become future advocates for wildlife and conservation.
